CENT Percent Corruption and NEXUS Crimes
There is a humour about an India Minister making a visit to the United States. He was invited by the Minister(Secretary as he is known here) in USA for a dinner and thus the India Minister paid a visit to his house in Washington D.C. It was really a mansion and the US Minister told him the story of how he could manage to construct such a huge house in the center of the city.
He said: “ Look, you see a bridge there. That was constructed on my orders and I got 10% of the total budget for the construction of the bridge.That is allowed in law here”.
The Minister from India said: “Oh, I understand”.
After three years, the US Minister visited Delhi and he was taken by his India colleague to his residence for a dinner. The US Minister was wonder-struck literally to see a very huge mansion, triple the size of his house in Washington D.C. Seeing the US Minister’s eyes and expression on his face, the India Minister said: “Look, you see a bridge there?”
The US Minister replied;” No, I don’t”.
The India Minister: “Yes, there is a bridge there. It was constructed as per my orders. CENT percent! That is allowed here”.
The US Minister replied: “Oh, I understand”.
What is happening in India? Ministers are accused and arrested for corruption. High bureaucrats are prosecuted for corruption and malpractices. Very high political leaders are caught for nefarious activities and as Mark Antony in Shakespeare said: “They are honourable men!”
These’ political kings’ have followers who shout slogans in favour of them and for them. The helpless law enforcement officials watch the drama. High level judicial officers and police functionaries are under suspicion and prosecution. Long ago, I wrote a book titled: Indian Police and Nexus Crimes in which the questionable activities of police-politicians-businessmen and bandits for amassing exorbitant wealth were exposed. Now the nexus crimes are seen in all walks of life, politics and administration which include judiciary as well. The CENT percent corruption is everywhere and the black money is deposited in foreign banks. Perhaps more black money can be seen circulating within the country of huge size.
When corruption is detected, like the Satan accusing the sinner, one political party leaders accuse the other political party leaders in the media openly with an understanding that ” you scratch my back; I will scratch your back”. The people are fooled by this scratching drama and, yes-all is well that ends well!
